Mobil SHC™ 846 Ultra demonstrates excellent performance and will find a second life after more than 23000 hours of service

Situation
Until January 2019, Cartiere del Polesine paper mills used Mobil DTE™ 846 to meet the lubrication needs of its Solar Taurus T 60 turbine. Given the severe application conditions, the oil charge had to be replaced around every 18 months.

Recommendation
In December 2018, ExxonMobil and its Authorized Distributor Arka Lube recommended Cartiere del Polesine to use the new Mobil SHC™ 846 Ultra to increase the Oil Drain Interval, reduce maintenance interventions, and improve the reliability of the turbine.

Benefits*
Mobil SHC™ 846 Ultra demonstrated the possibility of extending oil drain interval by more than 3 times compared to the previous oil. The turbine comes to the end of its life, but the Mobil SHC™ 846 Ultra oil is still in excellent condition after more than 23,000 hours of service and will find a second life in a new turbine unit. The upgrade to Mobil SHC™ 846 Ultra oil also confirmed the following benefits:
